Stain was put on the main staircase. We’ve determined it is too red and have decided to have them strip the finish and start over with a different color.

Flooring crew finished the first floor. All floors received one coat of stain and three coats of polyurethane.

The front porch and entry porch beadboard was installed again today. The first attempt had to come down because incorrect installation lead to bowing and warping of the boards. This time they put plywood up first, glued the beadboard to the plywood before nailing, and let the boards acclimate to the weather for a few days before installing.

Workers finished the upstairs floors today! Starting to feel like a home.
