Brick work continued on the retaining wall. The base was also set for the paver patio. One of the carriage doors was also removed and taken offsite to be refurbished. They will come back for the other three in the next couple weeks.
 
Tile work started in the upstairs bathroom today. The landscapers also arrived with the hemlocks for the north border.
 
Rear steps are now on. We ended up putting low voltage step lights in the risers. Work also continued on the interior trim.
 
The pocket door on the first floor powder room was installed today. We ended up finding a perfect fit at the local salvage yard. The concrete crew framed up the first flight of steps and lower landing.
 
The new bead board on front and entry porch ceilings was stained. Range hood was installed in the kitchen. Trim work continues to go up on the first floor
 
Rear porch and steps will be exposed aggregate.
 
Today the carpenter built the columns around the rusted pipe supports at the front porch. The mason started constructing the retaining walls at the rear of the house.
 
We found a surprise while digging footers for the back steps - another cistern! This one was much bigger than the front yard cistern. We ended up filling it with brick and concrete from the old steps
 
Today the plumbers arrived to install the new water line and sewer back flow preventer. The mason also finished up replacing the tar stained bricks on the back corners of the house.
 
Rear porch was removed to make way for new porch and steps.
