The appliances arrived today! The delivery company showed up with 2 guys, but had to return with 6 to gret the stove in! Work also continued in the kitchen - bead board went on the island and detail around the bottom of the cabinets. We have also decided to replace the tar stained brick on the corner of the house.

The mason worked on removing the bricks from the retaining wall today. The hope is to salvage enough to redo one of the walls with orginal brick.

Work continued on lower cabinets and bench seat today. We also decided to remove the bead board on the entry porch. The electricians have also been working to set the panels.

We cleaned the brick and floor on the front porch. This was the only portion we weren’t able to get previously, as the front was enclosed at the time we did the rest of the house. Hopefully this will be the final piece of brick cleaning…

Tree guys were here today to remove diseased and damaged trees/stumps. They were very efficient and had everything done in less than a day.

We got our first glimpse of the front porch without windows. We're now leaning toward leaving it open...

Today the contractors took off the back porch roof and started to install the beams that will support the removed section of incinerator chimney. The soffit crew is also making progress. They moved to the front side of the house. We also had a walk through with the kitchen designer today.

Work continued on the front soffits. On the inside, workers installed the new beams in the garage to sure up the floors above. They also took out block to prepare for the double door into the garage storage annex.

Today they started removing the soffits to replace the beadboard. The corbels/brackets will be saved, stripped and reused.

We were able to finish up removing the brush pile from the backyard, now providing full view of the house from the backyard. We took Otis over to check things out (you may have to click the picture to find him)...
